On the bare hill

Could climate change suddenly reshape the 700-million-year-old landscape of Bare Hill

and all who live there—forever?”

Inspired by Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood, Strange Futures presents On The Bare Hill, a visually stunning, humorous, and poignant theatrical journey that brings to life the quirky inhabitants of a not-so-normal town on an extraordinary day.

Combining poetry, puppetry, and their renowned "powerful physicality" , Strange Futures delicately explores the impacts of climate change at a local scale, through an enchanting mix of storytelling, vivid imagery, and captivating performances.

Developed and performed collaboratively by professional theatre practitioners and community members, the show springs from rich conversations and creative workshops with Malvern experts and residents of all ages, turning local voices into magical moments on stage.

Suitable for ages 10 and above, On The Bare Hill runs approximately 90 minutes and is designed for intimate spaces, creating an engaging and immersive experience.
