“If all the trees stopped breathing, we’d have had it!”

Award-nominated and critically acclaimed, The Tree Rings is a magical, thought-provoking, and visually striking exploration of one boy's lifelong connection to a tree. Blending Strange Futures’ signature mix of physical theatre, shadow puppetry, live music, and enchanting animations, the show creatively weaves together myths, memories, and environmental insights.

Initially developed as a community-cast production in Worcester and Malvern, The Tree Rings has been reimagined by a professional cast for small and mid-scale touring. Developed with input from local communities and environmental experts, this show brings heartfelt storytelling and quirky humour to the urgent topic of environmental change and our intimate relationship with nature.

Running approximately 1 hour 50 minutes, including an interval, The Tree Rings is suitable for audiences aged 10 and above, designed to captivate and inspire through intimate staging and immersive visuals.
